Vector Fields for iPhone and iPad · Last updated 9 September 2026

Vector Fields does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no network connections of any kind.

What the app does not collect

The app has no sign-in, no user profiles, and no server component. It does not gather your name, email address, device identifiers, location, contacts, usage analytics, or crash reports. It contains no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Every framework it uses is supplied by Apple as part of iOS.

What the app accesses, and why

Camera. Vector Fields requires access to your device's camera. This is what makes augmented reality possible: the camera image is what the vector field is drawn on top of, and it is also how the app recognizes a printed marker in order to reposition the grid.

Motion sensors. ARKit uses the device's accelerometer and gyroscope to track how you move through the room so the arrows stay anchored in place. This data is used only for live tracking, is handled on device, and is never stored or transmitted.

What is stored on your device

The vector field expressions you enter are evaluated on your device and held only in memory for as long as the app is running. They are not saved between launches and are not sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes anything the app has left behind.

Children

Vector Fields is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either.

Third parties

There are no third-party services, analytics providers, advertising networks, or data processors involved in this app. No data is sold or shared, because none is collected.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it accesses, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top of this page will change.
